INTERESTING MUSICAL FACTS: Nancy Sinatra really, really struggled to record this song even though the end result was a beautiful performance. In fact, Julie Rogers recorded the song with the orchestra, but the producer Cubby Broccolli wasn’t happy and rang Frank Sinatra to see if he would do it. Sinatra didn’t want to do it but recommended his daughter Nancy. The end recording is actually about 12 takes spliced together!

INTERESTING FILM FACTS: The film bears no resemblance to Ian Fleming’s book except on two fronts: The location (Japan) and the conflict between Bond and Blofelt

LYRICS:

You only live twice, or so it seems. One life for yourself, and one for your dreams. You drift through the years and life seems tame, till one dream appears and love is its name.

And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on, don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone. This dream is for you, so pay the price, make one dream come true, you only live twice.

And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on, don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone. This dream is for you, so pay the price, make one dream come true, you only live twice.
