FILM PLOT OUTLINE: Bond is sent to retrieve a stolen Lektor decoding machine, promised to him by a girl who claims to be in love with him. The girl, believing she is working for the Russian government is actually working for S.P.E.C.T.R.E.

STARRING: Sean Connery as James Bond Daniela Bianchi Lotte Lenya Robert Shaw

MEMORABLE BECAUSE: Q’s first appearance. He presents Bond with a Brief Case with an ejecting knife. We also get to see the boss of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. Ernst Stavro Blofeld – albeit just his lap and his white cat.

GADGETS Attache Case Poison Tipped Shoe Folding Sniper Rifle

INTERESTING MUSICAL FACTS: The opening title music is actually an instrumental version of the Matt Munro song, although Matt Munro gets to sing the song both during the film and through the end titles.

INTERESTING FILM FACTS: The girl Bond is seen with in the Canoe near the start of the film also appeared in Dr. No, implying she and Bond share some sort of ongoing romantic attachment.
