INTERESTING MUSICAL FACTS: Barry again missed out on this film and the duty fell to Marvin Hamlisch who wrote one of the most popular title songs – Nobody Does It Better. He avoided using the film name in the title of the song but the lyrics did include “The Spy Who Loved Me”.

INTERESTING FILM FACTS: The opening sequence that ends with Bond skiing of a mountain and opening up a Union Flag parachute was shot for real by a stunt man. The stunt had never been performed before and the stunt man wasn’t really convinced he could pull it off but never admitted that to the filmmakers! In fact the stunt nearly goes horribly wrong when one of the skies almost hits the parachute (you can clearly see it in the film) and shooting continues whilst all the crew nervously hold their breaths.
